Albuquerque, N.M., Oct. 18, 2010 - Albuquerque Winwater Works Co. has opened to provide general, municipal and utility contractors throughout New Mexico with water line, sanitary sewer and storm sewer products and supplies.
With local ownership and operation, Albuquerque Winwater Works is associated with WinWholesale Inc., one of the nation's largest wholesale distributors. The local company at 2110 Claremont Ave. NE in Albuquerque provides counter sales and delivery service. It carries a complete line of products such as Griffin ductile iron pipe, A.Y. McDonald brass and Clow hydrants.
"Our goal is to be the "˜go-to' supplier for our customers by stocking what they need and getting it to them when they need it," said Scott MacKay, company president.
Before starting Albuquerque Winwater Works, Mackay was in charge of the water works business at Albuquerque Winnelson Co., which spun off the new company.
Albuquerque Winwater Works is open from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
