DAYTON, Ohio, October 23, 2006-WinWholesale, one of the nation's largest wholesale distributors, today announced that Monte Salsman has been named chief operating officer for the Dayton-based company.
Salsman will oversee the support operations of nearly 450 local Win companies across the United States. These local companies serve their customers under the Winnelson, Winair, Winlectric, Windustrial, Winsupply, Wintronic and Winwater Works brands.
Salsman joins WinWholesale from Johnstone Supply where he was senior vice president of sales and marketing for the HVAC/R cooperative distributor.

At Johnstone, Salsman was responsible for all marketing activities including sales strategies, advertising, national accounts, direct mail, and online and print catalogs. Salsman has also held positions with Wesco Distribution, Platt Electric Supply and Westinghouse Electric Supply.
Salsman is replacing Jack Osenbaugh who has been WinWholesale's chief operating officer since 1994. Osenbaugh has been with company for 34 years during which time he has held positions of increasing responsibility. Osenbaugh will remain with the organization working closely with senior management on a number of special projects. "Jack in an invaluable asset to our organization and I'm looking forward to utilizing his expertise to assist us on a number of issues that require the skills and experience Jack possesses," said Schwartz.
Salsman has a Bachelor of Science degree in Physics from Oregon State University and a Master of Science degree in Marketing and a Master of Business Administration degree from Marylhurst College.
Salsman will be located at the company's Dayton corporate headquarters.
